Wystawa Możliwości – XX edition of Job and Internship Fairs KAMPUS KARIERY

The jubilee 20^th edition of the Job and Internship Fairs KAMPUS KARIERY took place on the 20^th of November in the guest spaces of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics. The Academic Career Office organised the event. “Wystawa Możliwości” – the slogan of this year’s autumn edition – revealed the character of the event. On that day, students had an opportunity to see how many places are available to them – these ones at the University as well as the labour market.

The fairs were directed to students and graduates of the following faculties:

• Faculty of Letters
• Faculty of Social Communication and Media Studies
• Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences
• Faculty of Social Sciences
• Faculty of Languages, Literatures and Cultures
• Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics

During the fairs, the participants had an opportunity to meet representatives of 29 organisations.

Not only could the participants familiarize themselves with actual job and internship offers at the stands, but they also received information about possibilities of professional development, admission processes, and employers’ expectations.

Possibilities withing the walls of the University

STREFA UWr was the next element of the exhibition “Wystawa Możliwości”, which included stands of the Faculties, Institutes, and the Admissions and Promotion Coordination Office. The participants, especially students during their third year of the bachelor’s studies, could find out more about majors, programmes, specialities, and formalities connected to the continuation of studying. The experts who know academic life “inside out” gave answers to questions.

Discussion about the master’s studies – panel discussion “Sztuka wyboru: drugi stopień, nowe możliwości”

One of the central points of the fairs was a panel discussion opened by the dean of FLAE – dr hab. Jacek Przygodzki, prof. UWr. Panellists during the discussion could share their experiences and practical hints concerning:

differences between the bachelor’s and master’s studies

values brought by the master’s studies

development of competencies and connecting various fields of knowledge

realities at the labour market and competencies valued by employers

the meaning of studying for life

“Kolekcja możliwości” by ABK

In the specially prepared space “Kolekcja możliwości”, the participants could get to know initiatives of ABK in a different way. Mentorship Programme, UWr Talks, and postgraduate studies were presented by the respective installations: “Poznaj Mentora. Przyspiesz rozwój”, “Zgadnij, kto… jest kolejnym gościem UWr Talks: ciąg dalszy nastąpił”, “Czy to zbrodnia wiedzieć więcej?”.  

Traditionally, everybody had an opportunity to have a CV photo taken thanks to a photograph from Bliżej Studio.
