Young Suprachem Minisymposium 2025

From 22 to 26 September 2025, Wrocław will host the 67th Scientific Congress of the Polish Chemical Society, organised jointly by Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the University of Wrocław, and Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. This year’s edition takes place under the motto “Building Bridges to New Discoveries”, which refers both to the symbolism of Wrocław’s bridges and to the idea of connecting different fields of chemistry, research environments, universities, fundamental and applied research, as well as fostering relationships between early-career and experienced researchers, and between academia and industry.

One of the accompanying events of the 67th Scientific Congress of the Polish Chemical Society will be the Young Suprachem Minisymposium 2025, offering a unique opportunity to attend lectures by invited professors visiting under short-term academic exchange programmes. All presentations have been organised into a single-day event, allowing participants to familiarise themselves with the work and research of all the guests. More about the event is explained by the organiser, dr hab. Bartosz Szyszko, prof. UWr from the Faculty of Chemistry.

Young Suprachem Minisymposium 2025 is a satellite event of the 67th Scientific Meeting of the Polish Chemical Society, aimed at promoting supramolecular chemistry within the Polish chemical community, particularly among students and doctoral candidates from Wrocław universities. This one-day meeting will feature lectures delivered by young research group leaders from Germany, Sweden, and the United Kingdom, whose work covers a wide range of topics – from the design of photoswitchable supramolecular systems, through coordination cages responsive to external stimuli, to out-of-equilibrium systems. With such a diverse program, every participant is sure to find something of interest.
In addition to the lecture sessions, the invited speakers will take part in a series of meetings with staff, PhD students, and undergraduate students. We warmly encourage all those interested to arrange individual discussions with the guests – especially PhD candidates seeking postdoctoral opportunities, as well as recent master’s graduates considering pursuing a doctoral degree abroad. We cordially invite you to take part in the Young Suprachem Minisymposium 2025 and to join the meetings with our invited guests!
Dr hab. Bartosz Szyszko, prof. UWr
