Come to see the Falling Walls Lab Wrocław 2025
On Saturday, 13 September, we warmly invite you to the next edition of the Falling Walls Lab Wrocław. The event will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the Oratorium Marianum as part of the opening day of the Lower Silesian Science Festival (DFN).
Falling Walls Lab is a world-class competition in which breakthrough start-up ideas are pitched against the clock. It brings together a diverse and interdisciplinary community of students and early-career professionals, offering them a platform to present their innovative concepts.
The event will be opened by the Vice-Rector for Finance and Development of the University of Wrocław, Professor Arkadiusz Lewicki. A welcome address will also be given by Torsten Göhler, Deputy Consul of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Wrocław. Following an introduction to the history and aims of the event by Professor David Blaschke, the coordinator, sixteen candidates – six from Poland, two from Germany and eight from the Czech Republic – will present their breakthrough ideas using three slides in just three minutes.
The winner will be selected by an interdisciplinary jury of experts from academia, business and the public sector, chaired by Professor Małgorzata Korzeniowska of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. The laureate of the Wrocław edition will go on to take part in the global final, held in early November during Berlin Science Week.
A detailed programme of the event, together with descriptions of the projects to be presented at the Falling Walls Lab Wrocław 2025 and biographies of the jury, can be found in the attached document.
We warmly welcome all who are interested!
