Integrated Development Programme of the University of Wrocław 2018-2022

The programme is implemented by the European Union from ESF funds under the Operational Programme “Knowledge Education Development”, Priority Axis No. 3 “Higher Education for the Economy and Development”, Measure 3.1 “Competences in Higher Education”.

Support under the competence improvement and internship programme will cover 1,700 students and 14 doctoral students.

Laboratorium

The target group of the project are full-time students of the first, second and third degree from 10 faculties of the University of Wrocław: Chemistry, Letters, Journalism and Social Communication, Physics and Astronomy, Mathematics and Computer Science, Biological Sciences, Historical and Pedagogical Sciences, Biotechnology, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Law, Administration and Economics.

Tasks carried out under the project:

1. Education programmes

The objective of the task is to improve the quality of education, including that based on cooperation with employers and adjustment of programmes to the requirements of the labour market.

2. Raising competences

Within the framework of this task, activities will be carried out related to improving competences of persons participating in education at the higher level (students) and in key areas for the economy and national development.

3. Traineeship programmes

The task includes the implementation of high-quality national internship programmes at employers for students in the last four semesters of full-time studies.

4. Services supporting students in starting their professional activity on the labour market

The task covers support for the use of labour market information to design education adjusted to the needs of the socio-economic environment in the region.

5. Doctoral studies

The task covers the implementation of high-quality doctoral studies – Doctoral Studies in Legal Sciences at the WPAiE.

6. University management – staff competences

The task includes implementation of activities improving didactic competences of the university staff in the scope of teaching skills and improving management competences of the management and administrative staff of the university, contributing to improvement of management processes and functioning of the university, including the quality of education.

7. University management – support of management process

The task covers support of IT tools for university management, creation of open educational resources and information management in order to improve the quality of education.

The main objective of the project is to improve the quality of education at universities, including doctoral studies, and adjusting education to the needs of the economy and labour market by increasing the practical dimension of teaching by including employers in the teaching process, engaging outstanding foreign experts to conduct classes, organising internships and activities (e.g. workshops) developing soft and professional competences to improve graduates’ chances on the labour market. Enhancing the competences of the teaching staff in order to use the acquired skills in the teaching process and consequently increasing the quality of education. Increasing competences of management and administrative staff for effective and efficient management of the university, including education quality. Supporting the university management process through the implementation of modern tools improving the documentation flow and management processes, as well as greater computerization of the processes taking place at the university.

Task 6 is addressed to the teaching staff

Task 7 is addressed to the management and administrative staff
