Project value: PLN 1,317,503.50
Including PLN 55,800.00 for the implementation of partnered tasks of the University of Wrocław
The goal of the project is to create a model of the School of Exercises, which will contribute to increasing the competence of teachers while improving the functioning and increasing the use of the school support system in terms of the development of key competences and universal skills, i.e. transversal skills, necessary on the labour market. As part of the developed model, the project will cover the following subjects: mathematics, natural sciences, foreign languages and computer science. As a result of the project being carried out, the Lower Silesian School of Exercises for the Lower Silesian Voivodeship will be established as a model facility in the country, supporting current and future teachers in their daily work. It will house 4 model laboratories: science, mathematics and IT at LO no. 10 and language workshop at primary school no. 83.
As part of the project, 10 students of the University of Wrocław will have the opportunity to complete student internships at the Exercise School. The University of Wrocław will also conduct a supervision of 10 demonstration lessons under the observation of a psychologist, pedagogue and subject educator. These supervisions are to provide new working tools in the field of workshops and methodology, as well as in an interpersonal context. In addition, they will serve a motivational factor to work and develop theoretical knowledge and skills that are necessary for the profession. The scope of support applies to both teaching methodology and competence improvement, including building mental resilience. Supervision will include an analysis of the pedagogical workshop, the broadening of the scope of teachers’ self-awareness and self-control, and the development of key competences.
In 2021, the University of Wrocław will organize two methodological conferences in the field of mathematics and natural sciences.
