Eight candidates were put forward as candidates for Rector at the indictment meetings of the University Electoral College (UKE) and the University Council (RU) on 28 February 2024.
If the designated people, within four days, submit the relevant consents to stand for election and declarations that they meet the legal requirements, they will become official candidates for Rector of the UWr.
The Wrocław Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences informed that on 6 February 2024, during the Session of the General Assembly of Members of the Wrocław Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences, as a result of a by-election, following the retirement of prof. Monika Wiktoria Pawlik, a graduate student at the University of Wrocław, was awarded second place in the Wrocławska Magnolia competition for her thesis entitled „Śmiertelność chrząszczy biegaczowatych (Coleoptera Carabidea) w śmieciach wrocławskich lasów” (“Mortality of ground beetles (Coleoptera Carabidea) in the litter of Wrocław’s forests”).
