On 11 December 2024, at 9:00 a.m., the 19th Polish-Belarusian Scientific and Practical Roundtable will be held at the Institute of International and Security Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Wrocław entitled “Edukacja i nauka Białorusi przed wyzwaniem transformacji demokratycznej. Doświadczenia Polski” (eng. “Education and Science of Belarus before the Challenge of Democratic Transformation. Experience of Poland”). The event is co-organised by the City Hall of Wrocław and Wolny Uniwersytet Białorus Foundation.

Leszek Berezowski will talk about the history of St. Nicholas and Santa Claus, his origins and activities, ancient customs, traditions and beliefs, and how the figures of St. Nicholas and Santa Claus has changed over the centuries.
