UL: Competitions and prizes

Dr inż. Marta Kalka z z Zakładu Inżynierii Białka na Wydziale Biotechnologii UWr na badania „Separacja faz ciecz-ciecz jako mechanizm biologicznej aktywności ludzkich galektyn” otrzymała z Narodowego Centrum Nauki dofinansowanie 49 500 zł.

Studenckie Koło Naukowe Geologów UWr otrzymało nagrodę w kategorii Projekt Roku w ogólnopolskim konkursie kół naukowych StRuNa.

The University of Wrocław’s Student Scientific Association of Geologists received an award in the “Project of the Year” category in the national Scientific Associations competition – StRuNa.

Wniosek naszego badacza dr. hab. Jacka Szczepańskiego z Wydziału Nauk o Ziemi i Kształtowania Środowiska znalazł się wśród rekomendowanych do finansowania przez NCN. Projekt badawczy wart ponad 1 800 000 zł realizowany będzie we współpracy z badaczami z Niemiec oraz Polski.

The UWr Student Scientific Association of Geologists has been nominated in the national StRuNa competition. On 18 November at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, our geologists will compete with 25 other student circles and organisations for the title of Project of the Year, presenting their project „Poszukiwanie, separacja oraz analiza składu chemicznego i fazowego miejskich mikrometeorytów” (‘Exploration, separation and analysis of the chemical and phase composition of urban micrometeorites’).

Prof. Marcin Stępień from the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Wrocław is one of four recipients of the 2023 FNP (Foundation for Polish Science Award). He received the award in the area of chemical and material sciences for the design and preparation of new aromatic compounds with unique structures and properties.

Prof. Kazimierz Braun, dramaturg, reżyser, pisarz związany niegdyś z Uniwersytetem Wrocławskim, został w październiku 2023 r. uhonorowany londyńską Nagrodą Literacką przyznaną po raz 72 przez Związek Pisarzy Polskich na Obczyźnie.

Dr hab. Łukasz Opaliński, prof. UWr z Zakładu Inżynierii Białka Wydziału Biotechnologii UWr został laureatem 11. edycji Nagrody NCN 2023 w kategorii: NAUKI O ŻYCIU.

The call for applications for the 2nd edition of the Young Researcher 2023-2025 Grants competition under the Initiative for Excellence – University Research (IDUB) programme is now open. The grants are intended to support the development of scientific and research competences of students and doctoral students of the University of Wrocław by facilitating contacts with the international research community.
