UL: Cooperation

In December 2024, the University of Wrocław entered into a research and teaching cooperation agreement with the Civil Aviation Authority.
The aim of the agreement is to carry out joint research and teaching projects – including conducting research activities in the area of broadly defined safety and civil protection.

The Library of the University of Wrocław invites you to a unique exhibition, summarizing the implementation of the ministerial project titled “Polonika XVI–XVIII-wieczne ze zbiorów Biblioteki Uniwersyteckiej we Wrocławiu – opracowanie, digitalizacja i upublicznienie w sieci”. (eng. “Polonika of the 16th-18th centuries from the collection of the University Library in Wrocław – processing, digitization and making it public online”).

Once again, the UWr Institute of Computer Science will be the organiser of the ICPC Central Europe Regional Contest. From 13 to 15 December, our university will host seventy three-person teams consisting of programming enthusiasts from top universities in Central Europe, who will face complex algorithmic tasks.

During the second plenary meeting of the Biotechnology Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, a by-election was held to select three new members/members of the Committee – specialists in biotechnology. The Committee was composed of three members, including prof. dr hab. Jolanta Zakrzewska-Czerwińska, a RDN member and head of the Department of Molecular Microbiology at the Faculty of Biotechnology at the University of Wrocław.

The University of Wrocław is cooperating with the Belarus Free University Foundation to implement the Belarus Free University (WUB) project in 2024-2025. The project is supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and aims to develop a platform offering a European level of online postgraduate education for Belarusian youth, both those who live in the country and those in exile. The Institute of International and Security Studies at the University of Wrocław has a leading role in implementing the project.

The International Office’s application in the PROM competition for short-term academic exchange received funding from the National Academic Exchange Agency to the tune of nearly PLN 2 million. The funds will enable academic staff, doctoral students and UWr students to travel to academic centres all over the world (excluding the Russian Federation) and receive visitors to Wrocław.
