On September 25, at 11 a.m., a seminar summarising the project “Alma Mater Leopoliensis. History of Lviv humanities 1661-1946” will take place at the Library of the University of Wrocław. Among those who participated in this landmark event were staff members from the UWr Institute of Polish Studies, the Library of the University of Wrocław, and Polish and Ukrainian archivists and researchers.

The First Open Meeting of the Board of the Polish National Association of Doctoral Candidates in Wrocław gathered over one hundred participants from the whole country. The event was organized by the Doctoral Student Council of the University of Wrocław and the Doctoral Student Council of Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences in cooperation with the Polish National Association of Doctoral Candidates (KRD), the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, Wrocław University of Health and Sport Sciences, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Doctoral School of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of Polish Academy of Sciences, and Wrocławsko-Opolskie Porozumienie Doktorantów.
April 2025 marks the double and round jubilee of two important events in the history of Poland: The 1000th anniversary of the coronation of its first king and the 500th anniversary of the Prussian Homage. On this occasion, the University Library in Wrocław is presenting the most valuable objects from its collections. Mainly artefacts related to the history of Poland during this period or those times, including manuscripts, antique prints, maps and iconography.
