    Another Szewski Czwartek is upon us. This time, the Historical Institute of the University of Wrocław invites you to Siedlęcin near Jelenia Góra, which hides unique 14th-century paintings depicting the story of Guinevere and Lancelot, the knight of King Arthur.

    On 6 March, the University of Wrocław entered into a cooperation agreement with the Witold Lutosławski National Forum for Music in Wrocław.

    For many years now, in January, lovers of Polish and Ukrainian carols and pastorals have gathered at the University of Wrocław to sing together and support each other’s spirits. This year was no different – the concert “Joyful caroling” made the Aula Leopoldina filled with a crowd of listeners.

    On Monday 20 January at 6pm, a concert will be held at the Oratorium Marianum (pl. Uniwersytecki 1), during which the Gaudium University Choir of Wrocław will perform Polish carols and pastorals in original arrangements for soloists, choir and piano.

    On Thursday, 16 January, at 6 p.m., we would like to invite you to a concert and a joint singing of Polish and Ukrainian carols in Aula Leopoldina at the University of Wrocław, pl. Uniwersytecki. ‘Joyful Carol Singing’, an initiative of the Union of Ukrainians in Poland, is a long-standing tradition.

    The UWr Institute of Geological Sciences invites to a lecture by prof. Marek Awdankiewicz, who will talk about volcanism in the Solar System. The lecture will be held on January 24 at 3:00 pm at the Institute of Geological Sciences, pl. Maksa Borna 9, room 220.

    The fourth edition of the Melodies of Three Generations concert, which took place on 6 October at the Oratorium Marianum, is behind us. The event was organised by the Institute of Slavic Studies, the Centre for Culture and the Arts in Wrocław – a cultural institution of the Lower Silesian Provincial Government, the UWr Centre for Student and Doctoral Activities and the UWr International Cooperation Office.

    On 1 October, the Environmental Inauguration of the Academic Year 2024/2025, i.e. the inauguration of all public universities in Wrocław, was held in the Aula Leopoldina of tje University of Wrocław. The inaugural speech was delivered by the Rector of the University of Wrocław, prof. dr hab. Robert Olkiewicz, Chairman of the Collegium of Rectors of Wrocław and Opole Universities.
