Volume IV – Symetry in nature, art and humanities
The papers in the first part of the volume are arranged chronologically, according to the order in which they were presented at the seminar. The main theme of the presented papers is symmetry in various phenomena and processes. However, there are also papers about symmetry breaking and chaotic phenomena. All the articles focus on symmetry, order, its character, and its role in various domains of reality.
On 24 November 1993 in Studium Generale took place a meeting devoted to limitations and possibilities of using findings from different scientific disciplines in the research on cultural phenomena and processes. The meeting resulted in papers presented in the second section of the volume. They adumbrate problem areas, different seats on the limitations and possibilities. They pose questions that require further discussion.
