The Institute of Polish Studies in cooperation with the School of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners at the University of Wrocław has the pleasure to invite you to a scientific conference entitled “From language education to social integration. A refugee student from Ukraine at a Polish school.” The event will take place on 22 November (Wednesday) 2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The scientific conference of an interdisciplinary character (linguistic, glottodidactic studies, and logopedics) is devoted to the problems of language education, school adaptation, and social integration of refugee children from Ukraine in Polish schools. It is addressed to teachers, students of pedagogical faculties, as well as interested representatives of the scientific community, and other institutions and organisations.
The aim of the conference is to disseminate the results of research and recommendations as well as to promote the training platform being developed as part of the project “Integration through language. A platform for teachers working with refugee children from Ukraine”, financed under the programme called “Science for Society” from the funds of the Ministry of Education and Science. The scientific debate will be accompanied by methodological training in the creation of teaching materials for Ukrainian students attending primary schools in Poland and a scientific discussion in a thematic session.
