The UWr Scientific Association of Young Criticism together with the UWr Scientific Association of Literary Theory and the UWr Centre for Contemporary Critical Forms sincerely invite you to the national scientific conference U(ś)cisk teraźniejszości: Nowe gatunki, konwencje i formy we współczesnej kulturze, which will be held on-site on May 24th -25th, 2024, at the Institute of Polish Studies of the University of Wrocław. The conference is part of the third Jacek Łukasiewicz’s Festival organized by the Centre for Contemporary Critical Forms.
Proposed issues:
- contemporary genres, conventions and forms in literature, film, series, games and other media;
- categories of present and novelty in today’s culture;
- the influence of culture on the creation of new genres and trends;
- issues of contemporary geneology;
- metagenre, trans- and intertextuality, intermediality;
- new media and art;
- new forms in the digital space;
- genre evolution;
- the impact of social conditions and changes on the creation of new genres;
- art that renews or revises tradition (poetics, motifs, ideological issues).
