
Computer scientists Oskar Bujacz and Michał Błaszczyk receive distinctions
Graduates of the Institute of Computer Science were awarded two distinctions during thematic theses competitions under the patronage of the Polish IEEE section and GovTech. Oskar Bujacz’s PRADO architecture and its modifications in examining the tenor of an utterance thesis (Architektura PRADO I jej modyfikacje w zadaniu badanie wydźwięku wypowiedzi), which was supervised by Paweł Rychlikowski, received a distinction at the AI 4 Science competition. Additionally, in the Embedded 4 Science competition, Michał Błaszczyk’s thesis titled Port of Mimiker Operating System for RISC-V Architecture, supervised by Krystian Bacławski and Marek Materzok, also gained recognition. On aggregate, 50 theses from 25 universities participated in 5 competitions of the following themes: AI, Cybersecurity, Embedded, Blockchain and Graphics. Twenty awards and distinctions were given. The most prizes went to theses of graduates of Warsaw University of Technology (7 theses from 3 faculties), graduates of Lodz University of Technology (3 theses) and the University of Wrocław, AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow and Gdańsk University of Technology (2 theses each).
