The jubilee 20th edition of the Job and Internship Fairs KAMPUS KARIERY took place on the 20th of November in the guest spaces of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics. The Academic Career Office organised the event. “Wystawa Możliwości” – the slogan of this year’s autumn edition – revealed the character of the event. On that day, students had an opportunity to see how many places are available to them – these ones at the University as well as the labour market.
On 20–21 November 2025, the third international conference in the series “Transformacje Europy Wschodniej w ostatnim stuleciu” was held in the hospitable setting of the Ossolineum, organised by the Historical Institute at the University of Wrocław. This year’s edition was titled: “1945 – między wojną a pokojem”. During the opening of the conference, conducted by the Dean of the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences, dr hab. Paweł Klint, prof. UWr, the Director of the Historical Institute, dr hab. Filip Wolański, prof. UWr, and the Director of the Ossoliński National Institute, dr Łukasz Kamiński, the figure of prof. Stanisław Ciesielski (d. 2020) was recalled. He was the founder and first head of the Department of Eastern European History at the Historical Institute of the University of Wrocław, and a renowned scholar of the history of Russia and the USSR.
On 18–19 November, dr Anna Grochowska and mgr Piotr Sobkowiak from the Institute of Geography and Regional Development delivered the training course “Planowanie przestrzenne w gminach”, organised as part of the project „Uniwersytet Wrocławski: Rozwój kadr dla dolnośląskiego rynku pracy” (no. FERS.01.05-IP.08-0451/23), funded under the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 programme.

The Institute of Philosophy, Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Wrocław, will host a visiting professor under the IDUB programme from 24 to 27 November 2025 – prof. Clovis Salgado Gontijo (Federal University of ABC [UFABC] / Seminário Provincial Sagrado Coração de Jesus, Diamantina, Brazil). During his visit, three events will take place: a public lecture at the Library of the University of Wrocław and two workshops/seminars held on the Faculty of Social Sciences campus at ul. Koszarowa.
The training “Organizacja lekcji terenowych i edukacji regionalnej w edukacji geograficznej” directed to primary and secondary school teachers took place in October. The event took place as a part of the FERS project – “Uniwersytet Wrocławski: Rozwój kadr dla dolnośląskiego rynku pracy”. The project was accomplished thanks to the European Funds for Social Development programme 2021-2027.
In November, the results of the competition for the best doctoral thesis on public procurement law were announced. The winner was dr Katarzyna Śliwiak, an attorney-at-law and graduate of law, economics, and doctoral studies at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław. She was recognised for her dissertation entitled Zasada równego traktowania przy kwalifikacji podmiotowej wykonawców w postępowaniu o zamówienie publiczne.
The University Library in Wrocław invites you on 25 November at 2.15 p.m. to conference room no. 3 of the Library of the University of Wrocław (BUWr) for the first lecture in the new series Colloquia Bibliologa Wratislaviensia, dedicated to the history of the early book, manuscripts, writing culture, and libraries.
