We are pleased to announce the release of the first episode of the English-language podcast “Tatars in Poland: Adopted Homeland”, co-created by dr Ewa Górska from the University of Wrocław and prof. Maurits Berger from Leiden University. This unique project explores one of the oldest Muslim communities in Europe – the Polish Tatars.

The Minister of Science and Higher Education has awarded scholarships to young researchers, including six talented scholars from our university: dr Magdalena Gibiec, dr Maciej Juzaszek, dr Paweł Kaczmarski-Koronkiewicz, dr Michał Marczenko, dr Daniel Pankowski and dr Katarzyna Parchimowicz. On 26 June, new full and corresponding members of the Polish Academy of Sciences were elected. Among them are two researchers from the University of Wrocław, who join a prestigious group of over 300 scholars recognised for their outstanding scientific achievements and authority within the academic community.

On Thursday, 26 June, the Academic Career Office, in collaboration with the University Library team, had the pleasure of organising a special event for graduates of our University. The meeting combined both a touch of sentiment and a spirit of discovery – for some of the attendees, it was their first visit to the current BUWr building and a unique opportunity to see the Library’s most valuable items up close.

In the nationwide ranking of student university legal clinics (law clinics), published today by Rzeczpospolita, the University Legal Clinic operating at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław has taken first place!

We are pleased to announce that the Institute of Slavic Studies at the University of Wrocław (ul. Pocztowa 9, 3rd floor) is currently hosting the photography exhibition “SłowoWobraz. Fotografia literacka” (eng. WordInImage: Literary Photography). The displayed works were created during a series of creative workshops held in May 2025, open to students of the University of Wrocław.

The Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics (FLAE) at the University of Wrocław has ranked third in the 14th edition of Rzeczpospolita’s Law Faculties Ranking in the category of public universities – and secured first place in the “international cooperation” category.

The Dragon capsule, carrying Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski, has successfully arrived at the International Space Station (ISS). The four-person Ax-4 mission crew will spend two weeks on the station.
