Volume XXI – Works of nature. Work of man. History
Volume XXI consists of several lectures and introductions to discussions presented at Studium Generale in the academic year 2016/2017.
These compilations show selected works of Nature, man, and their historical context.
Nature’s works and impacts include gravitational waves, black holes, planetary systems, Earth structures, and the human brain.
Works of man occur in Symbolic, Hallstatt, Scythian, Incan cultures, civilizations that arose in the Mediterranean basin, the civilisations of the Mediterranean basin, and European culture.
The discussed sections of history start with the history of Egypt at the end of the Old Kingdom; a period of strong central authority and disunity – a period of peace and war. A new era and civilisation in world history began with the coming of Christ’s momentous event. The origin of the Slavs and the beginnings of Christianity in the Oder and Vistula river basins are discussed based on archaeological research and written sources. Book “Letters from Kaluga” shows Poles’ fate in exile in the camp in Kaluga and the Polish situation during World War II.
