From 4 to 6 November 2025 of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław will host Dr Juan García Blesa from the University of Hagen (Germany), who will visit our university under the Visiting Professors IDUB programme. Dr García Blesa is a recognised scholar in the fields of critical theory of international law, legal research methodology, and the relationship between culture and law.
The University of Wrocław, as in the previous year, has been placed in the 1201–1500 band of the world’s best universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026, announced on 9 October 2025. The University’s strongest indicators are Research Environment, in which it ranks 830th globally, and Teaching, where it holds 900th place worldwide.
From 19 to 22 October, the Centre for Research on the Ancient World at the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences will host Professor Julien Faguer from Université Paris Nanterre. The visit, organised at the invitation of dr Dominika Grzesik, is funded under the IDUB project’s “Visiting Professors” programme. Professor Faguer is the author of numerous publications devoted to the epigraphic culture and economy of ancient Greece, and has taken part in and led archaeological missions in Delphi and Delos.
