    On Friday, 25 July 2025, our team set off on a morning train from Wrocław to Warsaw, from where they will fly to Longyearbyen via Oslo. They will board the STS Generał Zaruski on the morning of 28 July. The destination: Spitsbergen, part of the Svalbard archipelago in the Arctic.

    Poles in Brazil fought not only pumas and snakes, but also for the Polish language. Dr Fabricio Wichrowski, a Brazilian historian and archaeologist of Polish descent, talks about the Polish diaspora in Brazil. Dr Wichrowski is currently at the Institute of Archaeology at the University of Wrocław as a fellow of NAWA’s Polonista programme.

    Urszula Kozioł passed away – poet and honorary doctor of the University of Wrocław
