The Rector and Senate of the University of Wrocław invite you to the University Day celebrations, which will begin on Friday, 14 November at 10:00 a.m. in the Aula Leopoldina (main building of the University of Wrocław, pl. Uniwersytecki 1).

As part of the celebrations marking the anniversary of the University of Wrocław, the exhibition “Our Masters. 80 Years of the Wrocław Alma Mater” will also be presented. It will open on Friday, 14 November, immediately following the main ceremony, at the Museum of the University of Wrocław, in the Hall under the Pillar (main University building, ground floor, Plac Uniwersytecki 1).

The next lecture in the series will be Młodopolska fantastyka naukowa i jej proroctwa, given by dr Fryderyk Nguyen.

With deep sorrow and regret, we announce the passing of prof. dr hab. Bernard Janusz Albin, former Dean and co-founder of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Emeritus Professor of the University of Wrocław.

“Hartman’s Letter” became the stuff of legend due to both the circumstances surrounding it and its timeless message, although for many years it was known only within the community of mathematicians. Since the students had taken the trouble to copy it down, it must have made quite an impression on them!

This coming Saturday, 8 November, a science weekend entitled “OMG – Observatory of Young Geniuses” will begin at the Astronomical Institute of the University of Wrocław.
