On 21 October at 12 noon, the Faculty of Chemistry invites you to a lecture by Prof. Peter Vandenabeele.

On 15 October 2025 at 1:30 p.m., the William Stern Award Ceremony will take place in the Assembly Hall of the Institute of Psychology of the University of Wrocław.

On 11 October 2025, the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science hosted the Young Explorers’ Workshops. Participants – secondary school students from Lower Silesia – had the opportunity to attend a lecture by dr Piotr Dyszewski entitled “Sztuczki, gierki i teoria Ramseya”. Among other things, they discovered why the locations of certain well-known supermarket branches form mysterious equilateral triangles.

In October, the Institute of Romance Studies will host Prof. Renaud Bret-Vitoz from Sorbonne Université (France) as part of the Excellence Initiative – Research University (IDUB) programme. Prof. Bret-Vitoz is a distinguished specialist in 18th-century French literature and theatre. During his visit, he will give two open lectures focusing on Enlightenment drama, particularly the works of Voltaire and the theatrical context of the 18th century.
