On 11 October 2025, the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science hosted the Young Explorers’ Workshops. Participants – secondary school students from Lower Silesia – had the opportunity to attend a lecture by dr Piotr Dyszewski entitled “Sztuczki, gierki i teoria Ramseya”. Among other things, they discovered why the locations of certain well-known supermarket branches form mysterious equilateral triangles.

Adam Mickiewicz Secondary School No. III in Wrocław and the University of Wrocław are beginning an official cooperation, which will open new possibilities for students’ development. In October, the Institute of Romance Studies will host Prof. Renaud Bret-Vitoz from Sorbonne Université (France) as part of the Excellence Initiative – Research University (IDUB) programme. Prof. Bret-Vitoz is a distinguished specialist in 18th-century French literature and theatre. During his visit, he will give two open lectures focusing on Enlightenment drama, particularly the works of Voltaire and the theatrical context of the 18th century.
Student initiatives from the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics and the Institute of Archaeology at the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences have received funding under the project “Wsparcie studentów w zakresie podniesienia ich kompetencji i umiejętności”, organised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education within the framework of the European Funds for Social Development Programme 2021–2027.
