On 22–23 October 2025, participants of the 3rd National Congress on Security Studies, held in Wrocław, reflected on the opportunities, challenges, and directions for the development of this scientific discipline.

This academic year, the meetings will focus on economic and social issues.

On Wednesday, 22 October, a workshop for academic and administrative staff from the Arqus Alliance universities began, dedicated to the topic of microcredentials. The three-day event is organised by the International Office of the University of Wrocław.

Our expert’s commentary on the Nobel Prize in Literature

We, along with the French music association from Lille, Music and Peace, would like to invite you to a concert by students, graduates and lecturers. The event will take place on October 29th, Wednesday, at 6 P.M. in Oratorium Marianum at Plac Uniwersytecki 1. Entry is free of charge.

A series of free workshops dedicated to raising awareness among the academic community about unequal treatment and discrimination of students and doctoral students is currently underway. The workshops also provide them with competences that enable them to learn effectively during their university and doctoral studies, along with conscious planning of their career paths.

Certified first aid training sessions have begun at the University of Wrocław. In October and November, 500 members of staff will receive training.

The Historical Institute at the University of Wrocław invites you to an open lecture by Prof. Otfried Czaika from the MF Norwegian School of Theology, Religion and Society (Oslo), entitled “Clash of Confessional Cultures? Henrik Steffens and the Old Lutherans in Silesia.”

In the year marked by the war happening to the West of our borders, an increase in hybrid threats and a redefinition of the international order, Wrocław will become the Polish centre of debate about security. The 3rd Nationwide Congress of Security Education will be held on October 22-23, 2025, and guarantees to gather the highest-ranking researchers and practitioners, as well as service and administrative representatives, in order to answer the questions about the country’s resilience, successful tactics of deterrence, social and informational security, and the quality of research within this discipline.

On Wednesday, 29 October, at 5 p.m., at the C.H.Beck law bookshop at ul. Kiełbaśnicza 25 in Wrocław, there will be a meeting with dr hab. Izabella Gil, professor at the University of Wrocław, on the occasion of the launch of her textbook ‘Zarys postępowania cywilnego’.

On behalf of the organisers – Student Scientific Association “Neuron” and the Faculty Student Self-Government Council of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology Faculty of Information and Communication Technology – we would like to invite students to participate in the “Heroes of the Brain” Neurohackathon, which will take place on November 29th and November 30th, 2025 in building D-21 of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
