    Wydział Nauk o Ziemi i Kształtowania Środowiska Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego zaprasza na trzecią edycję obchodów Dnia Krajobrazu i Dnia Georóżnorodności, które odbędą się 17 października 2025 roku od godziny 10:00 na Kampusie UWr przy ul. Cybulskiego 30–34 we Wrocławiu, a także w Gmachu Głównym Uniwersytetu przy Placu Uniwersyteckim 1 oraz w Centrum Badań Regionów Zimnych UWr. Tegoroczne wydarzenie odbędzie się pod hasłem „SYMBIOZA – Przyroda i Miasto w jednym Krajobrazie!”

    We asked professor Ewa Marcinkowska from the Faculty of Biotechnology at the University of Wrocław – an expert conducting research at the interface of haematology and immunology, focusing on therapies inducing the maturation of blasts in acute myeloid leukaemia – to explain what the immune system is all about and why research into it is so demanding and multifaceted.

    As part of the Excellence Initiative – Research University (IDUB) programme, the Faculty of Neophilology will host Professor Catriona Seth from the University of Oxford, a distinguished scholar of eighteenth-century literature and culture. During her visit, Professor Seth will deliver two open lectures in English, both held at the Institute of Romance Studies (pl. Nankiera 4).

    Martyna Janaszek, a student at the University of Wrocław, has won a gold medal and the title of European Champion under-23 in bench press. The championships were held in late September in Malta.
