As part of the Excellence Initiative – Research University (IDUB) programme, we warmly invite you to an open lecture by Prof. Karina Morgenstern from Ruhr University Bochum, entitled STM investigation of laser-driven processes at surfaces. The lecture will take place on Friday, 28 November 2025, at 12:15 p.m., at the Institute of Experimental Physics of the University of Wrocław (Rzewuski Hall, room 60, Plac Maksa Borna 9, 50-204 Wrocław).
As part of the Excellence Initiative – Research University (IDUB) programme, we warmly invite you to an open lecture by Dr Guillermo Sánchez Ungidos from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, entitled Keep it cute, manito. Poetry and cultural identity in Spanish and Latin urban music. The lecture will take place on Tuesday, 21 October 2025, at 5:30 p.m., at the Institute of Romance Studies, University of Wrocław (pl. Nankiera 4, room 4.8).

From 19 to 22 October, the Centre for the Study of the Ancient World will host Dr Georgios Mouratidis, Deputy Director of the British School at Athens. On 11 October 2025, the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science hosted the Young Explorers’ Workshops. Participants – secondary school students from Lower Silesia – had the opportunity to attend a lecture by dr Piotr Dyszewski entitled “Sztuczki, gierki i teoria Ramseya”. Among other things, they discovered why the locations of certain well-known supermarket branches form mysterious equilateral triangles.
